It is famous for lush greenery, rich flora and fauna. Wayanad is famous for its Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve which falls both into Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Its landscape is full of green landscapes, bamboo and betel plantations along with cardamom and coffee plantations. It is also famous as a weekend getaway for both Indian and foreigners.
